10 Government Road, Raglan

A long narrow site has now become home to two new dwellings. Simple two-bedroom boxes enclosed in a timber rainscreen. One box lower on the site, capturing pockets of sunlight through the native bush. The other box perched on the rise taking advantage of the bush canopy opening up to the ever-changing harbour and bar views.

The compact design focussed on a lock and leave dwelling that could accommodate a small family or friends. A low maintenance aesthetic was the heart of design for this project.  Hardwearing materials and hardy landscaping have been selected to align with this design narrative.
